Indian Army Celebrates Infantry Day on 27th October

Reason of Celebration of Indian Army Infantry Day on 27th October

We Indians are always proud of our Indian Defence Forces, they are our real heors'. We salute our real heroes(Indian Armed Forces) and their families because of them we live our lives easy and safely.

This post is about why the Indian Army celebrates Infantry Day on 27th October. The reason for the celebration is linked to the history of India. Just after the Independence, our Great Indian Defence forces had to face war with the tribals and hidden Pakistani Army and they successfully won the war. The tribals had left from many of our areas.

27th October is the day celebrated as Infantry Day because on this day the first Battalion of the Sikh Regiment landed at Srinagar airbase and displayed resoluteness and extraordinary courage and become "The wall" to thwart the evil designs of the Pakistani Army, who invaded Kashmir with the help of tribals in 1947

Our Former Indian Army Chief of Staff Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Once stated that "If a Man Says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or he is Gorkha".
