What is LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme and Who is Sponsoring this Scholarship?
As the name shows LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme is sponsored by the Life Insurance Corporation of India. LIC currently is purely governed by the Government of India and is a central government institution. This Scholarship Scheme is purely funded by the LIC of India with having some eligibility criteria for the selection which is mentioned in this post in the below part. The objective of the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme
The main objective of the LIC Golden Jubilee scholarship is to help or provide financial assistance to the weaker economical section of our society so that they can complete their higher studies. The courses may be of Engineering, Normal Graduation like BSc, BCom,, Medical graduation Like BPharma, Dental, MBBS, Arts Studies, Diploma or any vocational Courses. This scholarship is provided for studies in India either of government to private institutions. It Covers even the ITI Courses as well.
This scholarship will be provided at two levels one when a student is passed his class 10th and looking scholarship to complete ITI, Diploma Courses or some other professional courses which are done after class X he/she must have passed his/her State Board or CBSE or ICSE board with minimum 65% of marks.
Also available after class xii students who are looking for scholarships to complete their graduation courses, professional courses like Engineering, Medical Courses like MBBS, Dental, B.Pharma, etc.
Eligibility Criteria of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme
This scholarship is given at two different levels, after class x and after class xii. Please check the eligibility below.
If the student has passed class X either from any State Board/CBSE Board/ICSE Board with the minimum of 60% in the academic year 2020-21 and looking scholarship to pursue their ITI/Diploma courses.
If the students has passed All the applying students must have passed class 12th or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% of marks in the academic year 2020-21 and interested in persuing Bachelors degree, BTech, MBBS etc
The very important is Family Inconme from all of the sources not more than Rs2,00,000 yearly.

There is one more type of eligibility criteria for the students who are female and the only child - Scholarship name is Special Girl Child Scholarship
Special Girl Child Scholarship
To encourage education to girl child to complete class 12th or higher studies after class 10th with minimum marks of 60% in class x in academic year 2020-2021 and interested to pursue class 12th/ITI/Diploma/other professional courses.
This scholarship is available only for 2 years.
The source of Income of parents/guardian is not more than Rs. 2,00,000 in a year.
Rate of Scholarship or the Amount to be disburrese in LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship
An amount of Rs.20,000 /- per annum will be awarded to the selected Regular Scholar & Shall be payment in 3 installments.
An amount of Rs.10,000/- per annum will be awarded for selected Special Girl Child persuing studies in class 12th & shall be payable in 3 installments.
Note - The scholarship amount will be transferred through NEFT in the awardee account which was shared at the time of online application. So make sure that the account will be active in the upcoming days and you will be using it. Don't share other's account otherwise your application may get rejected or you may loose your award.
Conditions for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship - Must read before applying it.
Schlarship will be awarded only the selected students who score not less than 60% of marks in previous examination and family income is not more than Rs.2,00,000/- per annum.
Relaxation in upper limit of the income is from Rs.2,00,000 to Rs. 4,00,000 per annum granted only to - (A) Child who have lost either or both parents/sole bread earner of the family due to COVID-19. (B) In case where a women (widow/single mother/unmarried) is the sole bread earner of the family.
Selection in LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship will be based on merit & family background such as percentage of marks in class 10, or 12th & Family economic conditions. In case of tie between two students in percentage of marks then the student having lowest family income will be selected.
For the eligibility criteria candidate should secure more than 55% of marks in professional courses and 50% marks in graduation courses like Arts/Science/Commerce failing of which scholarship will discountinue.
Scholarship shall not be given more than one student in a family.
The student should be regular in attendance for which yardstick will be decided by the competent authority of the Scholl/College/University.
Income certificate should be on self-certification bases by the way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper for self employed parents and from employer for employed parents by supported document.
If a student violates any terms and conditions of the scholarship, the scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.
If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement/certificates, his/her scholarship shall be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid shall be recovered, at the discreation of the concerned Divisional Administration.
Out of shortlisted candidates Twenty (20) students will be selected under regular scholarship schemes and ten (10) under Girl Child Scholarship Scheme depending on merit and eligibility criteria.
